 Her restlessness was quelled by her favorite Aunt Edna setting a box of treasures in her small lap to keep her occupied while the grownups did their do. The mangled well preserved and tangled heap of pearls, glass beads, rhinestones, brooches, crystals; earrings of silver, gold, copper, stainless steel and aluminum chains, findings, ceramic beads, semi precious stones, African wooden beads, tiny ceramic doll shoes, fancy hatpins, rings, sea glass, sea shells, bells, ribbons, coins, hemp strings, leather cords and peculiar buttons which, resided within that Black velvet lined jewelry box, beckoned her attention. The initial attraction to these vivid colors and mixture of textures encouraged Pamayla’s sophisticated yet bold earring artisans’ design pallet.
